Grange Park Toronto Canada

Project Update – August 19

The new east-west path at the south side of the park will be open for this weekend! The path will provide access through the park between Beverley Street and Grange Road and will connect with the north side of the south promenade.

There was a great article in Sunday’s Toronto Star about the play equipment being built for Grange Park – https://www.thestar.com/entertainment/visualarts/2016/08/12/new-grange-park-playground-a-nod-to-its-ago-neighbour.html. A reminder that pieces of the play equipment are being brought into the park as they are fabricated, but they are not fully assembled. This will be a multi-stage process running through to next spring, with the play area in the middle of a very active construction zone. When the play equipment is completely installed, it will need to be inspected by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). When the equipment receives CSA approval and the play area can be safely accessed, it will open it up to the public next spring. We appreciate your patience and your understanding that safety comes first for all aspects of the project.
